Computational Photography and Displays

We propose an architecture for speckle reduction in holographic displays that uses an array of mutually incoherent sources and two sequential spatial light modulators. Multisource holography can suppress speckle in a single frame without sacrificing resolution.

Neural étendue expanders revolutionize augmented reality by drastically increasing the étendue of holographic displays, enabling ultrathin, wearable AR devices that produce stunning full-color holograms for complex scenes. This breakthrough overcomes the diffraction limits of current spatial light modulators, setting a new standard in virtual and augmented reality technology.

This work introduces a novel hologram generation algorithm that enhances the viewing experience of full 3D holograms by addressing the effect of pupil sampling, producing holograms with accurate parallax and focus cues essential for the Visual Turing Test.

We introduce a novel simultaneous color holography framework that generates high-quality RGB holograms using a single SLM pattern, enabling increased frame rates, reduced color fringing, and improved color fidelity in a compact optical setup.
